A Georgia State Patrol vehicle was struck by a vehicle that first struck an embankment following a maneuver by GSP to stop a suspect after he fled from a traffic stop on Ga. 15 near Lofty Branch Rd. in Rabun County Monday morning. The suspect was pursued by GSP before crashing his vehicle and fleeing the scene on foot.

Megan Broome/The Clayton Tribune. The Rabun County Fire Services fire boat led the parade of wooden boats in the annual Lake Burton Wooden Boat Parade on Sunday. The boats set sail from Timpson Cove and made their way to LaPrade’s Marina where members of the public were invited to view the boats.

Rabun County Sheriff's Office Patrol Corporal Clinton Scott, left, and Dillard Police Chief Jeremy Parker participated in a car seat inspection event at the Clayton Walmart recently where nationally certified technicians helped citizens properly install car seats and booster seats. The RCSO partnered with Safe Kids Rabun County for the event. Scott was one of five deputies who became certified as a Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).
