Suspect sought in Rabun Gap armed robbery

TIGER-- Employees in the Rabun County school system received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine at a vaccine clinic held by Mountain Lakes Medical Center (MLMC) at the Rabun County Schools Fine Arts Building last Friday.  Gov.

Auditor: Clayton finances 'in good shape'

CLAYTON-- The city of Clayton is “in good shape” financially according to the FY 2020 audit presented by Jay Green at Tuesday’s council meeting.  Council member Ara Joyce was not present for the regular council meeting, but was present for the prior executive session.

Collaboration called 'key' at first Forward Rabun board meeting

CLAYTON-- Collaboration among community leaders was the focal point for Tuesday’s Forward Rabun board meeting held at the Rabun County Civic Center.  This was the first meeting of the full 21-member board since the conception of  Forward Rabun.

Freedom Lighthouse celebrates 2 years at Lakemont facility

LAKEMONT-- Freedom Ministries Lighthouse, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Rabun County, celebrated their two-year anniversary at the Lakemont facility last Thursday.  It’s a nine-month Christ-centered recovery residence for men. It provides in-house and outpatient services to people in the community.
