ESPNU to shine national spotlight on Rabun County

While the Rabun County High football Wildcats will play before the ESPN cameras Friday night, the network’s visit is a chance for the entire Rabun community to soak in the national spotlight. Rabun County will host Prince Avenue Christian on ESPNU at 8 p.m.

LAKE BURTON--Lake Burton’s Centennial Celebration went out with a bang Labor Day weekend as hundreds of boats floated toward a boat dock to listen to music and watch fireworks. The event was part of events celebrating the construction of the Georgia Power dam and the lake’s formation in 1920.

Class is in session at Tallulah Falls School, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School and Rabun County Schools with positive cases of COVID-19 being reported.

Tallulah Falls city council rolls back millage rate

TALLULAH FALLS--Tallulah Falls city council members adopted a rollback millage rate of 5.848 at their meeting last Thursday.  Council member Deb Goatcher was not in attendance.  This is a rollback from last year’s 5.868 rate.
