Amethyst Spa holds Open House and Ribbon-Cutting

The Open House and Ribbon-Cutting at Amethyst Spa on Thursday, July 10, was fabulous! Amethyst Spa (Julie Crane, owner) celebrated five years in business, and Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce helped them cut a ribbon on the next five years in business!

Clarion Pointe Hotel holds Grand Open, Ribbon-Cutting

The Clarion Pointe Hotel Grand Opening & Ribbon-Cutting Event on Friday, July 11, was fantastic! The Clarion Point Hotel, a 65-room facility, is newly renovated and located at 64 White Oak Lane, Dillard, at the northern end. It has easy access to U.S. Hwy.

Tiger has it ‘working’

Independence Day gave residents and visitors to Rabun County multiple opportunities to see fireworks -- be those at the lakes or in the municipalities. The Tiger Drive-In shot off its annual fireworks on Saturday, July 5, before a packed drive-in got to see the new “Jurassic World Rebirth” film.

Caudell wins summer Lake Living cover contest

Kim Caudell of Toccoa was named the winner of Community Newspapers Inc.’s contest for the cover of the summer edition of Lake Living. Caudell selected a photo she snapped in 2022 of her two children, Britt and Benjamin, dressed up for Independence Day to submit into the competition.
Submitted. Students from Rabun County FFA attended a Summer Leadership Camp (SLC) at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center in Covington, on the banks of Jackson Lake. Summer Leadership Camp is open to FFA and FCCLA students from all over the state of Georgia. There were 23 students who attended this summer.

COVINGTON, GA – This summer 23 students from Rabun County FFA attended a Summer Leadership Camp (SLC) at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center in Covington, on the banks of Jackson Lake. Summer Leadership Camp is open to FFA and FCCLA students from all over the state of Georgia.
