Community honored during ‘2025 Awards Hoedown’

Individuals and businesses in the Rabun County community were recognized for their contributions and successes during the “2025 Awards Hoedown” presented by Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce.

Having a dream and not accepting ‘no’ as a defeat can be life-defining

Everyone at some point in life has been told “no,” but sometimes that basic word of negativity can become one of motivation. Dink NeSmith has not allowed “no” to be an absolute denial.

Water and Sewer Authority honors Peters with storage tank

The Rabun County Water and Sewer Authority (RCWSA) and members of the community attended a dedication ceremony for the Greg Peters Water Storage Tank on Monday, May 19.

Memorial Day is a time to honor those brave men and women in the military who gave their lives in service to our country. They made the ultimate sacrifice and died in service to the United States of America.

Headwaters Master Gardeners Spring Plant Sale benefits Victory Home, scholarships

Headwaters Master Gardeners Association held its Spring Plant Sale earlier this month and proceeds helped support Victory Home, a local nonprofit addiction recovery center for men, along with scholarships and community programs.

Mountain Traveler cover winner calls Dahlonega home
