‘Project Foxfire’ program still accepting applications from local high school students

Third Grader Lucy Arnett was announced as the Young Georgia Authors Pioneer RESA District winner for writing titled “The Life of a Pencil.” Arnett will go on to compete at the state level. She was recognized at the April 28 Rabun County Board of Education meeting where board members, school administrators and fellow students clapped and congratulated her on her recognition.

Clayton Lions Club proudly presents Upper 5% Scholars
Megan Horn/The Clayton Tribune. Acclaimed artist and poet Laurence Holden was honored at the Hambidge Center Open House event on Saturday, April 26, with his works on display. Holden is a fine artist working in mixed media, oils, watercolor, intaglio and monoprint printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and drawing.
