Wolffork Road water line project complete

Paving has been completed along the portion of Wolffork Road that was impacted by the Wolffork Road Water Main Project to install about 16,000 linear feet of 8-inch ductile water line as part of improved operations for the North Loop Water System.

The 2025 Ramshackle Street Festival is less than a month from its triumphic return to downtown Clayton on Saturday, June 7. The second annual free event is produced by the City of Clayton and Clayton Merchants and Business Association (CMBA).

Third Grader Lucy Arnett was announced as the Young Georgia Authors Pioneer RESA District winner for writing titled “The Life of a Pencil.” Arnett will go on to compete at the state level. She was recognized at the April 28 Rabun County Board of Education meeting where board members, school administrators and fellow students clapped and congratulated her on her recognition.

TFS entertains with annual middle school ‘Madrigal’

The 2025 Tallulah Falls School Middle School “Madrigal” provided entertainment reminiscent of a royal court, featuring singing, sword fighting, jousting, dancing, feasting, joking, scheming, capturing scoundrels, playing tricks, and much more.

The Clayton Lions Club would like to congratulate the 2024-2025 Upper 5 percent recipients of Rabun County High School. The Lions Club sponsored a banquet on Thursday, April 17, for the students who maintained the highest academic averages in their grade level. At the banquet, Rev.

Holden is a fine artist working in mixed media, oils, watercolor, intaglio and monoprint printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and drawing.

The North Georgia Arts Guild introduced its 2025 scholarship recipients during the April 17 meeting. The 501(c)3 nonprofit awarded six $1,000 scholarships to area high school students. Each student presented their artwork and college plans during the Scholarship Program at the meeting.

June 17 Special Election for Probate judge cancelled

The Rabun County Probate Judge Special Election originally scheduled for June 17 has been cancelled, according to a Notice of Election Cancellation legal sent for publication in The Clayton Tribune by Election Director Tammy Whitmire on April 23.
