An early afternoon fire during a Red Flag Warning this week required emergency personnel to control its spread.
Rabun County Fire Services Station 1 was dispatched at 12:54 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, for a brush fire on Clayburne Street at Highway 441 in Clayton.

Wrong-way driver hit with DUI charge

A Commerce, Ga., man has been charged with DUI-less safe and driving on the wrong side of the roadway following a three-vehicle crash on Ga. 15 at Tiger Connector Friday, March 21.
Steven Shane Keyros, 37, was booked into the Rabun County Detention Center with the charges on March 22 at 3:22 a.m.
