Sign up now for the upcoming RCSO Citizens’ Academy

Sign up now for the upcoming Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Citizens’ Academy. It gives an opportunity for citizens to get an inside look at operations of the sheriff’s office. The Academy will run from March 6 through April 24 and sessions will be held every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School presents ‘Matilda The Musical’

The Rearden Stage at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School came alive on Jan. 30-Feb. 1 as students delivered a show-stopping performance of “Matilda the Musical.” The beloved production, based on Roald Dahl’s classic book, captivated audiences with its humor, heart, and high-energy musical numbers.

TFS students bring ‘The Secret Garden’ to life on stage in the student-led production

“The Secret Garden,” adapted from the beloved children’s book by author Frances Hodgson Burnett, came to life onstage at Tallulah Falls School’s Gertrude Long Harris Theatre Feb. 13-15. Junior Jo Newell of Sautee directed the eight-member cast in the production of Jerry Montoya’s play.

Teamwork on Stekoa Creek Park beautification

Headwaters Master Gardeners (HMGA) has been working with the Chattooga Conservancy, Boy Scout Troop 6 and other volunteer groups to help remove invasive species from Stekoa Creek Park. Suzanne Arpin with Headwaters Master Gardeners addressed Clayton City Council members during the Feb.
