Blondine Mitchell Barron
Blondine Mitchell Barron, 80, of Clayton, passed away April 12, 2016, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
She was born June 28, 1935, the daughter of the late John Rockaway and Elzia McCall Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by her husband Dillard Barron, a brother J.R. Mitchell, three sisters Hilda Hopper, and Patsy Alley, and Hazel Kilby.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Ernie (Anita) Barron of Tiger, and Mitchell Barron of Clayton, brothers Thomas Mitchell, Doug Mitchell both of Clayton, and Lloyd Mitchell of Mountain City, sisters and brother-in-laws Betty Jo Gibby (Cereal) of Tiger, Beverly Mason of Clayton, Marilyn Ballew of Clayton, Glenn Hopper of Rabun Gap, Curtis Kilby of Clayton, and granddaughter Samanda Barron Dickerson and husband David.
Blondine was loving mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She was a lifelong resident of Clayton and was a member of Battle Branch Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening.
The family received friends Thursday, April 14, 2016, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Friday, April 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Beck Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating. Interment followed in the Providence Cemetery in Batesville.
