Lulu Belle Giles
Lulu Belle (Coalley) Giles, 80, of Mountain City died Dec. 25 at Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa. She was a widow of Willie Giles.
Born in Rabun County, Feb 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Coalley and Gussie Free Coalley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blue Heights Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a granddaughter, January York and her great-grandson, Greyson Giles.
She is survived by two sons, Randy Dean Giles, Sr., of North Carolina and Jefferson Thomas Giles (Michelle) of South Carolina. Three daughters, Willene Edwards (Brian) of Dalton, Gussie Heniges (Michael) of Portland, Oregon and Lorrie York (Alonzo) of Toccoa and one brother, Gene Coalley of Tiger. Thirteen grandsons; Keith Giles (Lyndie) of Franklin, North Carolina, Matthew Giles (Nicki) of Mountain City, Adam Giles (Ariel) of Franklin, North Carolina, Gregory Jones of Portland, Oregon, Justin Giles of Pittsburgh, Jason Giles of California, Derek Edwards of Massachusetts, Dustin Edwards of Dalton, Tucker York (Rebecca) of Toccoa, Dalton Giles of South Carolina, J.T. Giles of South Carolina, Jeremy York (Cindy) of Commerce and Randy Dean Giles Jr. of Franklin, North Carolina. Two granddaughters, Jamie Silva (Eddie) of Toccoa, Miranda Odum (Mark) of Demorest and several great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services were held on Dec. 28 at Blue Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Cannon, Layman Faron Welch, Layman Doug Wayne Sr. and Layman Keith Giles officiating. Burial followed in the Blue Heights Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body was at Hunter Funeral Home where family received friends Dec. 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The body was placed in the church Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. The family was at the home of her grandson, Matthew Giles on Gates Lane, Mountain City.
