At 2:15 a.m. on Sept. 14th, Vicky peacefully passed away from infection and inflammation in her brain, medulla and spinal cord.

She was the kindest, nicest, most giving person we have ever known. Vicky radiated so much beauty on the inside and outside and her husband, Joe, was lucky enough to live in her lovelight every day. She was in the moment, enjoyed life to the fullest, had the most contagious laugh, and brought light and joy to any room she entered. Thank you, Vicky, for making the world a better place and for all the lives you touched in the time you were given. May we all honor your memory by living life to the fullest and by bringing joy to others.

Vicky had the most wonderful, loving Ukrainian parents, Steve and Anna, who survived the cruelties of German War camps in WWII. They immigrated to the U.S. after being freed by American Soldiers and raised their family in a peaceful country setting in northern Illinois. Vicky treasured attending the University of Arizona, enjoying the subtle beauty of the desert in Tucson. She returned home to graduate with a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Rockford College in Illinois. A runner all of her life, Vicky had the joy of participating in the Boston Marathon and especially enjoyed her many walks in nature.

In the early 1980's Vicky married and moved to Atlanta to live and eventually work with her entrepreneurial husband, Joe, in the telecommunications, rental property and music industry.

While just a job to her, Vicky deeply supported her husband's passion for working with the Allman Brothers band for nearly 25 years. In her lifetime, they were fortunate to travel the world to so many wonderful places, including Africa, Russia, Europe, Tahiti, the Caribbean, South America and almost every state in the nation. After retiring a second time, they happily moved from Atlanta to Clayton in 2019, dreaming of spending their remaining years in the beautiful North Georgia Mtns.  Vicky so loved the fine folks she met there, and they loved her; like everyone else who ever got to know her essence.  She is survived by her older brother, Steve Keriz (wife, Lidiya), and her husband of 38 years, Joe Bell.

Given the realities of COVID, we will not have a service at this time.

However, in the memory of our Sweet Vicky please consider donating to her favorite groups:  Paws for Life in Clayton (https://www.rabunpaws4life.com/donate-1.html), Friends of the Clayton Library (rabunlibfriends.org) and the Mountain Ivy Garden Club Scholarship Fund, PO Box 3, Tiger, GA 30576.
