A projected 1,000-plus spectators will line Main Street in Clayton on Saturday, Dec. 3, as the “12 Days of Christmas”-themed annual parade formally ushers in the yuletide season.
The parade will begin at 2 p.m. in downtown Clayton as the event is presented by Forward Rabun/Rabun County Chamber of Commerce.
For those who wish to participate, the cost is $20 for float entries and $10 for car/truck/walking entries.

The parade is scheduled to be completed before the 4 p.m. kickoff of the nationally televised Southeastern Conference championship football game between Georgia and LSU.
Lots and lots of candy will be handed out to children along the route.
The downtown merchants, police department, fire department and sponsors Rabun County Chamber of Commerce and Forward Rabun will assist with the parade such a triumph.
Businesses along the parade route are on Main Street, Duvall Street and Bo James Street.
Judges of parade entrants will receive a variety of honors like “Best Overall;” “Best Theme;” “Best Float;” “Best Walkers;” “Best Music;” “Best Lights;” “Best Singing;” and “Best Car.”
