Andy Lee Kastner, 63, of the Wildcat Community, passed away on Oct. 30, 2021.

Andy was born in Petersburg, Va., the son of J.A. Kastner and Joyce Burrell Kastner. Andy was a graduate of Rabun County High School, Class of 1976. After high school he attended Southern Tech and earned a degree in civil engineering. In his professional career he worked for CW Matthews Construction, J Allen Long Construction and North East Georgia Heat and Air. He was an avid reader and outdoorsman, and enjoyed people.

Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Verner and Connie LaPrade Kastner and Dick and Bertha Gragg Burrell.

In addition to his parents he is survived by one son, Phillip Kastner Arnold of New York; two stepdaughters, Bridget Davis, Eileen Johnson; two sisters, Brenda Kastner Speed (Wesley) of Clarkesville, Ga., Kathi Kastner Kesler (Shawn) of Mt. Airy, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews aunts and uncle also survive.

The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 1, at Beck Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 2, in the chapel of Beck Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Thompson and Kyle Watts Officiating. Burial will follow in the Roane Cemetery.
