Doris Vo-Tapek, 77, of Persimmon, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022.

She is survived by her husband Frank Vo-Tapek, son Roger Groening, daughter-in-law Ann Hickey, stepdaughter Rene Vo-Tapek, and sister Beverly Mingola.

Doris spent her life in New York and Florida before settling into Persimmon in 1984 with Frank. Doris was a loving Mother and friend to many. She was an artist painting many beautiful landscapes and portraits. She loved music playing piano and organ at church for 10 years. One of her favorite songs was “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor. She was always bubbly and loved to meet new people. She was a devoted wife taking care of Frank for many years. She loved her many dogs -- especially her Dachshunds. Doris was very spiritual always seeking to be closer to God. May she rest with God in peace.

There will be a celebration of her life in New York this summer. Please make a donation to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
