Jerry Lee Kell, 68, of Toccoa passed away on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021 at Habersham County Medical Center.

Born in Franklin, N.C., on Aug. 12, 1953, he was the son of the late Donald Kell and Grace Chastain. He spent his life in Georgia where he was a self-employed carpenter. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Church of God Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Grace Kell, and by a stepmother, Martha McConnell Kell; a brother, Elmo Kell; and by three sisters, Katherine Crisp, Janice Welch and Shirley Moore.

He is survived by, Brenda Crawford Kell of the home, by three sons, Mark and Denise Geeter of Canada, Donald and Shannon Kell of Gainesville, Ga., and Kevin Michael Kell of Toccoa; a daughter, Brittney and Barry Stowe of Jenkinsburg, Ga., two brothers, Charles and Sharon McConnell of Otto, N.C., and Sam McConnell of Otto, N.C.; and by four sisters, Christine Sorrells of Franklin, N.C., Marilyn Jenkins of Lakemont, Ga., Carolyn and Doug Keener of Lakemont, and Emma Miller of Scaly Mountain, N.C. Eight grandchildren also survive.

The body has been cremated and a memorial service is planned for Monday, Oct. 25, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Mountain City Church of God with Rev. Norman Dryman officiating, following a visitation from 2-3 p.m.

The family is at the home of his sister on Kell Lane in Lakemont.
