Rhonda Banks, 66, of Clayton, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, on March 5, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Thomas Black and Delcie Lamb and biological mother, Wanda Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernie Payne; and three sisters, Pattie Martin, Sandy Martin and Deborah Johnson.

She worked for Woodridge Hospital as an LPN and was of the Baptist Faith and attended Newman Chapel.

She is survived by three sons, James Scott Waters, Tommy Waters and Joey Waters, all of Clayton; a brother, Johnny Martin (Sheryl) of Charlotte, North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The body has been cremated and a celebration of life was held at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home Saturday, Sept. 25, with the Rev Chris York officiating.

The family is at the home of Shelia Payne on Ramey Road. Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of Arrangements.
