The Franklin Gem and Mineral Society and the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce will host their Leaf Lookers Gemboree Oct. 20 through 22 at the Robert C Carpenter Community Building at 1288 Georgia Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
Gemboree hours are Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Parking is free.
The show will host 22 vendors who offer fine jewelry, minerals, rough and cut gemstones, jewelry repair, and beads. Additionally, a certified appraiser will be on site.
This show will also hold the Fall Raffle with two $400 prizes: a sterling silver turquoise cuff bracelet and sterling silver turquoise size 7 ring. Raffle tickets are $1 each.
There will be on-site demonstrations of gem faceting, cabochoning and wire-wrapping. The admission price to the Gemboree is $2 per person, and food and drinks can be purchased at the center. Door prizes, donated by vendors, will be awarded each hour.
