Notice of Qualifying Fees for 2020 City of Sky Valley General Election
Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-132(c) (3) & SB 199, the qualifying fee for the office of two Council Member seats to be filled in the November 3, 2020, City of Sky Valley General Election, is set at $15.00. Such fees shall be paid to the Rabun County Board of Elections by any candidate seeking his or her name placed on the November 3, 2020 General Election ballot. A paupers affidavit may be filed in lieu of paying the qualifying fee.
Qualifying for the offices listed above will begin at 8:30 A.M. on Monday, August 17th and will end at 4:30 P.M. on Friday, August 21st. There being two Council Member whose terms shall expire in 2020 qualifying will be to fill these two seats. Should less than two candidates qualify for the office of Council Member, qualifying will reopen on Monday, August 24th at 8:30 A.M. and end at 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, 25th.
All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to register to vote in the General Primary Election may register to vote through the close of business on October 5, 2020.

A hearing will be held in the Rabun County Courthouse at 6:00 p.m. before the Rabun County Planning Commission on the 24th day of August, 2020, concerning a proposed variance from Rabun County Code of Ordinances Chapter 56 Zoning.
