The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee varsity wrestling team placed fifth out of 15 teams last Saturday at the highly competitive Johnson Stamey Mill Town Invitational at Pisgah High School in Canton, N.C.

The Citrus Bowl was not only part of the New Year’s Day college football lineup, but also a memorable opportunity for the Rabun County High cheerleaders.

A high school player responsible for 113 touchdowns and more than 8,000 total yards can reflect on a stellar four-year run.

The Wildcat boys dribblers collected their third Region 8-AA victory last Friday at Putnam, but a chance for their fourth four nights later slipped through their fingers at home. 

A rough start last Friday paved the way for the Rabun County girls’ first defeat at Putnam County.

Following a Region 8-AA championship and a state quarterfinal run, 21 Rabun County High football players have earned all-region praise.
