Michael Roland DeRoche, age 75, of Clayton, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022.
Born on March 8, 1947, in Sanford, Maine, to the late Roland DeRoche and he is survived by his loving mother and best friend Shirley DeRoche. Michael was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the Dekalb County Fire Department and volunteered for the Clayton Fire Department Station 1. One of his hobbies in life was being an avid train collector.
In addition to his mother Shirley DeRoche, he is survived by his caretaker Christy McCrackin and her family.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Battle Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating.
