The Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund annual golf tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 2 at the Sky Valley Country Club, 568 Sky Valley Way, Sky Valley.
The Sid Weber Cancer Fund pays up to $2,500 in non-medical expenses for Rabun County residents who have been diagnosed with cancer.
The Annual Golf Tournament is a day-long event and begins at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2, with pitching and putting contests.
There also is a cornhole tournament which concludes at noon.
You do not have to be registered for the golf tournament to participate in the morning’s events.
At noon, golf registration begins and a sack lunch is provided.
Then at 1 p.m, there is a shotgun start for the golf tournament.
After players complete 18 holes, prizes are presented and there is a silent auction and a drawing for donated raffle baskets.
