Traditional Scottish games come back to Clayton Saturday, Sept. 30, for the North Georgia Highland Games.
Games include Caber Toss; Hammer Throw; Weight for Distance; Stone Toss; Weight Over Bar and Sheaf Toss. The all-day event takes place at the Rabun County Civic Center Pavilions, 201 W. Savannah Street, Clayton, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cost is $20 for spectators.
Kids ages 12 and under are free. The event will also feature food and beer; bagpipes and drums; Birds of Prey; kids’ activities; vendors; axe throwing; blacksmithing; chainsaw carving and clans.
The event benefits Place of Hope North Georgia.
