Georgia recognizes Retired Educators Day

Clayton Mayor Kurt Cannon proclaims Sunday, Nov. 5 “Retired Educators Day” in Clayton. This day honors the many men and women who dedicated their lives to educate and encourage the youth of Georgia. Georgia Retired Educators Association began in 1958. Rabun County Retired Educators work to provide support and fellowship with retired educators. The organization works to respond to community needs and helps update retirees on available benefits. If you have the opportunity, please thank a teacher (retired or active) on this day.
