Duane Edward Brown, affectionately known as “Brownie,” passed away peacefully at his home on Aug. 12, 2022. He was a caring father, grandfather and friend. Duane loved life, spending time with his family, racing and football. He served his country in the U.S. Army, returning home from Vietnam in 1970
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Regina Brown. He is survived by his two children, Jason (Jonnie) Brown and Dulene (David) Jones, his four grandchildren, Ryan Brown, Brooke Jones (Jacob) Ledford, Noah Brown and Brent Jones. He is also survived by his faithful caregiver, Eulene Brown.
The family had a visitation at Beck Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022. The funeral was at the Beck Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022. Following the funeral service, the graveside service took place at Scaly Methodist Cemetery with Kyle Watts officiating.
