Gloria Marvalane Roper, age 71, of Clayton, Ga. passed away on May 20, 2021.

Gloria was born the daughter of the late Marvin Roper and Margaret Louise Moore Wilson on September 3, 1949. In her professional life she worked in the healthcare industry as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed giving back to others, and was proud of the missionary work she had done in Haiti with the Love Mission Group. She was a graduate with honors at every level of her education.

She was always a loving mother and grandmother to her children and her two granddaughters. She had a gift for decorating and painting. Gloria was a very spiritual person, who read her Bible daily. She was caring, and always gave her all to whomever she had in her care.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Frank Wilson.

Her survivors include her two daughters, Kirsten McKay, of Lakemont and Robin Roper Cavalli, of Clayton; her brother, Frank Wilson; one sister, Rebecca Wilson, of Clayton; two granddaughters, Katie Camille Dunn and Gloria Adeline Miller.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Rabun County Meals on Wheels Rabun C/O Rabun County Senior Center 2832 Old Hwy 441 S. Tiger, Ga. 30576.
