Jimmy Ray Loudermilk, age 75 of Lakemont, Georgia passed away on August 1, 2021.

Jimmy was born the son of the late Ceil Olin Loudermilk and the late Lillie Shirley Loudermilk on May 31, 1946. He was a lifelong resident of Rabun County. He was a Christian and a member of the Lakemont Baptist Church. Jimmy was a graduate of Rabun County High School Class of 1964. In his professional life he operated the Lake Rabun Cabinet Shop for many years. Jimmy served his community as a Rabun County Commissioner. He took pride in his work, and enjoyed his work each day. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband.

In addition to his parents, his brother, Leon Loudermilk and one sister, Martha Loudermilk, preceded him in death.

His survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Janie Cross Loudermilk; his son, Neil Loudermilk (Elizabeth), of Dacula, Georgia; his daughter, Hope Adams (Shane), of Clarkesville, Georgia; one brother, Bob Loudermilk, of Lakemont, Georgia; two sisters, Merietta Jones (Marshall), of Lakemont, Georgia, Lynette Patton (Randall), of Tallulah Falls, Georgia; sister-in-law, Gail Lewis, of St. Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren, Grace Loudermilk, Reid Loudermilk, Jonathan Adams, Jacob Adams.

The body will lie in state from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at the Lakemont Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at the Lakemont Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with Rev. Kyle Watts and Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Rabun Memory Park Cemetery in Tiger, Georgia.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jimmy’s memory to the Lakemont Baptist Church P.O. Box 546 Lakemont, Georgia 30552.
