Timothy Ross Kilby, age 61, of Clayton passed away on Sept. 2, 2022.

Timothy was born the son of the late Carl Jackson Kilby and the late Dorothy Leona Williams Kilby Vickers on Aug. 25, 1961. In his professional life, he operated heavy equipment for the Rabun County Road Department. He was a graduate of the 1979 class of Rabun County High School. Tim loved the outdoors, fishing and especially hunting, leading his family to call him the Great White Turkey Hunter. He was always a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Debbie English Kilby; his brother, Carl Kilby Jr.

His survivors include his wife, Tammy Speed Kilby; his three sons, Trenton Lee Kilby (Heath), of Oxford, Ga., Tucker Ross Kilby, of Gadsden, Ala., Nevel Jackson Kilby, of Clayton, Ga.; his daughter, Kristi Kilby Goodwin (Matthew), of Buford, Ga.; step-daughter, Stella Rebecca Rickman, of Clayton, Ga.; three brothers, Gary Kilby, of Clayton, Kenneth Kilby, of Tiger, Dale Kilby, of Lakemont; two sisters, Carolyn Kilby McKay, of Lakemont, Shirley Ann Nall, of Gadsden, Ala.; two grandchildren also survive him, Avarie Elise Goodwin, Beau Matthew Goodwin.

The family received friends at Beck Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022. A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, in the Chapel of the Beck Funeral Home in Clayton, Ga., at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe McCraken officiating.

The family asks the in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Timothy to the Sid Weber Memorial Cancer Fund P.O. Box 485 Rabun Gap, GA 30568.
