‘Addy’s Law’ increases violations to $1,000

In most cases, all drivers are required to stop when meeting or overtaking a stopped school bus that has its red lights flashing and its stop arm extended when loading or unloading passengers. With the terrain of Rabun County, motorists in all lanes of travel from Clayton City Limits to the North Carolina line must stop for a stopped school bus with lights flashing and arms extended.

In addition, there are only a few places on Highway 441 southbound before reaching city limits that have a concrete or grass median.
Rabun County Schools are back in session so motorists should be aware of the yellow school buses traveling the roadways.
