Second Annual Of These Mountains MarketPlace comes to Clayton
The second annual Of These Mountains Spring MarketPlace returned to downtown Clayton Saturday, May 13, with crowds of people turning out to the Rabun County pavilions.
The event was one of many festivals that visitors and community members have enjoyed recently to kickoff the Spring and Summer tourist season.
The MarketPlace featured more than 100 artisans and exhibitors displaying their handmade crafts for the community. It also was a chance for the vendors and local entrepreneurs to network and make connections.
Of These Mountains began the MarketPlace events in November 2021 and now present two events each year, one in May and one in November.
Kendall Rumsey, owner of Of These Mountains store on East Savannah Street in Clayton, said in a prepared statement prior to the event it was thrilling to bring together a variety of area artists, makers and small businesses for the event.
There was something at the MarketPlace for every member of the family.
