Memorial Day ceremony honors those who gave their lives for our freedom

He was a Navy Corpsman from September 1965 to September 1971. He is a Vietnam Combat veteran and two-time Purple Heart recipient.

The Honor Guard performs the three-volley salute and “Taps” during a Memorial Day event honoring veterans at the Veterans Memorial in front of the Rabun County Courthouse. The Honor Guard consists of veterans from D.A.V Ch. 15; American Legion Post 220; American Legion Post 84; VFW Post 4570 and VFW Post 7720.
