The new legislation concerning wakeboarding and wakesurfing that was signed Tuesday by Gov. Brian Kemp will take effect on July 1 statewide just before the Independence Day weekend. The days around the Fourth of July is one of the busiest times of the year on the water. LBCA and LRA officials plan to provide information to boaters about the new law.
