SKY VALLEY– Hundreds of visitors and Rabun County residents traveled through the Sky Valley Hay Bale Trail and headed to Georgia’s highest and coolest city for the Sky Valley Fall Fest Saturday, Oct. 15.

“It was a wonderful event attended by hundreds of people. Our valley looked beautiful and the weather was spectacular,” said Sky Valley Mayor Hollie Steil.
“I want to thank all the city workers who gave up their Saturday to help, the members of the Special Event Committee who planned and worked the event, and the Sky Valley Garden Club who decorated our city,” Steil said in a prepared statement.
Steil also voice her appreciation for the Sky Valley-Scaly Mountain Volunteer Fire Department who volunteered and brought their equipment; the groups and businesses who painted the hay bales; the citizens who volunteered; the antique car owners who brought their vehicles; and Blue Ridge Activity & Tumbling Center for participating.
