Site plans for 91-unit development
Megan Broome/The Clayton Tribune. A crowd turned out at the Rabun County Civic Center Monday night for a public forum held by the Rabun County Coalition for Good Government. The purpose was to spark participation in government and discussion on the topics related to the city of Clayton’s zoning ordinances and what is being done to minimize the impact of the 91-unit development.

Milton Garland, Sr., president of Garland Contractors Inc., who is the contractor for the 91-unit development across from Clayton City Hall, addresses a crowded room at the Clayton City Council meeting Tuesday and discusses amenities and site plans for the development. The council later in the meeting approved a rezoning of the property to P.U.D and approved site plans with conditions for lighting and landscaping.

Daley lives in the condos adjacent to the property requested for rezoning. Daley is also involved with the Rabun County Coalition for Good Government and outlined suggestions the organization has for development of the property.
