Clayton City Council members recently passed a motion to approve a USDA loan for new police vehicles.Strait said the plan is to purchase new Ford Explorer Interceptors. Funding comes from a $50,000 grant and $130,000 loan. Strait said the department plans on purchasing three new vehicles and phasing out three in worst shape.
