The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia held a spooktacular event Oct. 21 as families came through the Haunted Bridge at the covered bridge shopping center and kids dressed in Halloween costumes were given bags of candy. James Brim, director of the Food Bank Mountain Branch, said 293 cars went through the Haunted Bridge and had a scare.
“Small town, small event, but I love making a difference for the little superheroes who came through with smiles on their faces,” Brim said.
He said he wanted something fun and positive for the kids in a time of uncertainty with COVID-19. “We’re all about making a difference for the little kids for the future,” he said.
