The Food Bank of Northeast Georgia held a grand reopening of the Teaching Kitchen on May 20. The event was scheduled after the Teaching Kitchen had been closed for a period of time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The covered bridge was closed and the crowd enjoyed live music from the band Sweet Charity as well as food prepared and cooked by the kitchenettes at the Teaching Kitchen. The nonprofit Another Change Rescue was also in attendance.
“It was a great turnout and all the classes for the kids are filling up!,” said James Brim, director of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia Mountain Branch, about the event. “Be on the lookout for more events in the teaching kitchen!”
