Forward Rabun held the first of two planned Town Hall meetings at the Rabun County Civic Center on May 3 to gather public input for a strategic plan for community and economic development for Rabun County.
About 50 people attended the meeting to discuss their “vision” for local economic development and the future of Rabun County.
The event was sponsored by Forward Rabun to get public input for a strategic plan for community and economic development in Rabun County.
“All the attention now focused on current growth and development in Rabun County shows that we need a longer range planning framework based on a consensus vision for the future of the county,” said Rick Story, Executive Director of Forward Rabun, a partnership among the County, its cities and the private sector for community and economic development.
Forward Rabun is planning a second and final Strategic Plan Town Hall Meeting Thursday, May 12, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Rabun County Civic Center Diner (lower-level), 201 W. Savannah Street, Clayton, Georgia.
