The Town of Tiger was bustling with excitement this past weekend as community members showed out for the Inaugural Tiger Corn Festival and annual Station 12 volunteer fire station BBQ event Saturday, Sept. 24.
The annual Rabun County Fire Services Station 12 Volunteer Fire Department sold out completely as crowds of people turned out to support the cause.
“From all of us at Station 12, we would like to thank everyone for their support. We had a great time and turnout,” according to a post on the Rabun County Fire Services Station 12 Facebook page.
The fundraiser featured BBQ, raffles and live music from Jake McCracken.
“We did well with the BBQ. I really enjoy seeing everyone in the community coming out to visit us,” said Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Dickerson about how the event went.
