A Dublin, Ga., woman died and a man was injured after their jeep overturned in a creek at 1870 Ga. 15 in Mountain City last Friday.
Bobby Ray Stevens, 82, of Dublin was traveling east driving a tan 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport when the right front tire traveled off of the edge of the driveway, Georgia State Patrol (GSP) reported. The Jeep overturned on its top in a creek.
GSP reported the Jeep came to an uncontrolled final rest facing east in the creek on its top in the address of 1870 Ga. 15.
Passenger Olivia Jackson Stevens, 81, of Dublin was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in critical condition following the accident. She died Monday, Rabun County Coroner Sam Beck confirmed Tuesday.
Bobby Ray Stevens was treated and released from the hospital following the accident.
GSP reported charges are pending. There were no charges as of press time Wednesday.
