Married 55 years, 'I don't remember not knowing you,' Alton Story says
Megan Broome/The Clayton Tribune. Alton and Mary Story were married on June 20, 1965 after growing up together in Clayton. They said that they are best friends and the secret to being married for 55 years is to remember why you got married in the first place.
It’s been said that true love is hard to find.
But Alton and Mary Story looked no further than the cow pasture where they played ball as children.
