The Rabun County Public Library Summer Reading Program is in full swing as many fun and educational activities are scheduled over the next couple of months.

The Summer Reading Program kicked off May 31 with an Ice Cream Sundae party that went right along with this year’s theme, “All Together Now.”

“The kickoff was an amazing event and we were able to reach more people in the community,” said Branch Manager and Librarian Dyana Costello-Banks.

Community sponsors Family Connections; Family Resource Center; Ferst Foundation; Rabun County Health Department; Rabun County Head Start; Food Bank of Northeast Georgia and SouthState Bank also participated during the event.

The summer reading program is open to all ages and all programming is free and open to the public. Community members can sign up any time during the summer by calling the library at 706-782-3731, registering in person, or registering on the Beanstack application. The Rabun County Public Library is located at 73 Jo Dotson Circle, Clayton.
