MOUNTAIN CITY— A wreck at the intersection of Highway 441 and Cathey Rd. in Mountain City on Saturday afternoon resulted in one person being airlifted and two people being transported with injuries to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A tractor trailer and white SUV were both traveling South in the left lane when a white SUV slowed to make a left turn onto Cathey Rd., according to Georgia State Patrol Trooper C. Campbell, at the scene of the accident.

The tractor trailer followed too closely and struck the SUV. The SUV then slid sideways into a black car that was traveling North in the left lane, Campbell said.
