(Walhalla, SC)----The Missing Person’s Unit of the Oconee County (S.C.) Sheriff’s Office continues to search for a teenager who was reported missing almost two weeks ago.
Investigators assigned to the Unit have been following up on leads and gathering information in reference to 16-year-old Cooper Bryant Crawford. Investigators also continue to seek the public’s help in obtaining information that may lead to Crawford’s whereabouts.
According to news releases issued by the Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 2 and Jan. 4 of this year, Crawford was reported missing to the Sheriff’s Office on Friday morning, Jan. 2, by a family member after leaving his home on West-Oak Highway near Townville, S.C. At that time, Crawford’s direction of travel was unknown and his clothing description was unknown. Crawford is approximately 5-foot-11 and weighs 170 pounds. Crawford has dark brown hair and blue eyes.
The Missing Person’s Unit was notified. The Missing Person’s Unit said Cooper is an endangered teen due to a medical condition that requires him to take medication.
Missing Person Unit Investigators have also been working with agents from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) in reference to obtaining information on Crawford’s whereabouts.
Information obtained by investigators indicates Crawford could be in the Charlotte and Gastonia areas of North Carolina.
