Rabun County Schools.
Rabun County Schools, in partnership with the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, Rabun County Fire/EMS, Rabun County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), and other local and state public safety partners, will conduct a training exercise on Thursday, July 16, at Rabun County Elementary School.
The training will take place throughout the day and is designed to strengthen the coordinated response capabilities of our public safety agencies and school personnel should a critical incident ever occur.
Please be advised that Rabun County Elementary School will be closed to public access for the duration of the exercise. Throughout the day, community members may see or hear an increased presence of law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other emergency vehicles responding to the school. This activity is part of a planned training exercise only, and there is no emergency.
These exercises are an essential part of our commitment to school safety, and we appreciate the continued support and understanding of the Rabun County community as we work together to provide the safest possible learning environment for our students and staff.
