Betty Key Baker, 79, of Tiger, passed away Monday, Aug. 2, 2021 at Habersham Home East.
Born July 2, 1942 in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Key Sr. and Annie Benfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Baker; two sisters, Melissa Hunter and Ruth Miller.
She lived in Rabun County and worked as a supervisor in the cafeteria of Rabun County Schools. She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 164 and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Lori and Jeff Hunter of Tiger, and Karen and Terry Baumann of Dahlonega; brother, Bobby and Shirley Key of Lakemont; four sisters, Shirley Cole of Paducah, Kentucky, Joanne Hopper of Clayton, Judy and Knox Kell of Clayton, and Kathy Key of Tiger; three grandchildren, Meghan and Tony Knowles, Ethan and Meagan Hunter, and Hogan Tomlinson; and four great-grandchildren, Kinley, Kylie, Baker Claire and Hunter.
Funeral services were held in the Eastside Chapel Thursday, Aug. 5, with the Rev. Kyle Watts and the Rev. Ronia Hunter officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Rocky Grove Cemetery, 6900 Bridge Creek Rd., Tiger, GA 30576.
The family is at the home on Connector Road in Tiger.
