Ann Elizabeth McCord Brown, affectionately known as Mimi and Nana Beth, 64, of Tiger, Ga., passed away March 1, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina.

She was born March 19, 1956 to the late John McCord, Sr. and the late Lawson McAfee McCord in Dublin, Georgia.

She was a high school graduate.  She enjoyed fishing, reading and sewing.  She loved animals of all kinds, especially her baby Teeny-Tiny.  She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leon Brown and sister Lawson McCord Hill.

She is survived by one son, John Brown (Andrea) of Clyde, North Carolina; two daughters, Julie Harris (Trent) and Jessica Shirley (Bryan) of Clayton, Georgia; step-son Dave Bortner (Regina) of Ruckersville, Virginia; two brothers, John McCord, Sr. of Macon, Georgia and Fred McCord of South Carolina; a sister in law, Sherrie Crone of Clayton, Georgia. Also surviving, thirteen grandchildren; Haleigh Pruitt, Matthew Shirley, Emileigh Pruitt, Maizie Shirley, Chloe Brown, Ryleigh Pruitt, Lily Ellison, Andrew Barbour, Aiden Barbour, Destini Bortner, Diamond Bortner, Colton Buchanan and Casey Buchanan and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation service will be March 4, 2021 from 5-8 p.m., COVID-19 restrictions will apply with a limited number allowed in the building at one time per requirements use of face masks will be required to enter the building. A private family committal service will be held.
