Clara Hood Savo, age 75, of Tiger, Ga., formerly of Dacula, Ga., passed away on January 2, 2020.

Clara was born the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Charles Thomas Hood and Clara Martin Hood on November 22, 1944 in Alabama. She was the wife of the late Peter Joseph Savo.

Clara was a Christian and a member of the Methodist faith. She was an avid tennis player, who was ranked an “A” grade by the ALTA. She also enjoyed playing golf. In her professional career, she worked at the Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga. for 35 years. Her parents were active owners of Berkeley Hills for many years. Her late husband, Peter Savo, worked as an accountant and together they enjoyed spending time playing golf. She always had much love for her dog, Bella.

Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.

Her survivors include her daughter, Robyn Hood, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; her brother, Charles T. Hood Jr. (Bubba); one grandson, Nicholas Stoyer.

The family will hold a private service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Camp Sunshine 1850 Clairmont Rd., Decatur Ga. 30033, in Clara’s memory and in honor of her grandson, Nicholas Stoyer.
