Coyl Justice, age 95, of Betty’s Creek, passed away on Jan. 14, 2022. Coyl was born the son of the late Alden Forrest Justice and Namoi Long Justice on July 1, 1926.

In his professional life he worked as a machinist for the AID manufacturing plant. Coyl served his country during World War II in the Philippines. He was a Christian and a member of the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for many years. He operated a plant nursery as well, where he hybridized many varieties of rhododendrons and azaleas. He was a loving husband to his wife of 74 years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather.

In addition to his parents, his son Gary Justice; his siblings, Helen Justice, Oakley Justice, Margie Southards, Bob Justice, Hazel Cope, Grace Peak. He leaves behind his loving wife, Mildred Justice, of the Home; his son Mickey Justice (Debbie), of Otto, N.C.; his daughter, Julia Taylor (Bruce), of Mountain City, Ga.; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive him.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday Jan. 19, 2021, from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church in Dillard, Ga. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday Jan. 19, 2021, at the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church in Dillard, Ga., at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ronia Hunter, Mickey Justice and Rev. Don Samples officiating. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Betty’s Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund 38 Bob Justice Lane Rabun Gap, GA 30568.
