Cynthia Burrell of Clayton, Ga. passed away on July 14, 2021, at the age of 44.

Cindy is survived by her significant other, Grady Holcomb; her mother, Desirae Watts of Clayton, Ga.; her three children, Bruce Burrell/ Sierra Bell of Franklin, N.C., Timothy Burrell and Amber Burrell, both of Clayton, Ga.; one grandson, Asher Bruce Burrell of Franklin, N.C.; two sisters: Carrie Watts/ Cameron Bennett and Erica Hayes/ Kevin Volyes of Clayton, Ga.; several nieces and nephews as follows: Caleb Speed, Haisley Hayes, Staley and Lee Watkins, Mason Beck, Kaylee Hayes and Maleigha Beck all of Clayton, Ga.

She was predeceased by her father Bruce Watts of Clayton, Ga.; paternal grandparents Ruth and Fred Watts of Clayton, Ga.; maternal grandparents Ruth and Oren Pineo of Winchedon, Mass.

Cindy worked for The Atlanta Journal Constitution for many years. She was raised in the Church of God and was a loving Christian. July was Cindy’s favorite month. It was her birthday month and she would enjoy celebrating all month long by fishing, fireworks, cookouts and many trips to the river.

Cindy's greatest love was for her family. She loved her three children and was crazy about her only grandchild, Asher Bruce. She loved spending time with her family. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she will be missed by many.

A memorial service was held Saturday July 24, 2021 at the East-side Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Burrell officiating.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
