Earle B. Whitmire, 48, of Persimmon Road, died Jan. 27, 2022, at Mountain Lakes Medical Center in Clayton.

He was born in Clayton on Jan. 6, 1974, to Buddy Whitmire and the late Deliah Marcus Whitmire. He was a self-employed farmer and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Shandy English Whitmire of the home; son Ethan (Krista) Whitmire of Clayton, father Buddy Whitmire of Rabun Gap; four brothers, Tony (Tammy) Whitmire of Rabun Gap, Ben (Brenda) Whitmire of Rabun Gap, Tom Whitmire of Rabun Gap, and Kenneth Whitmire of Rabun Gap; one sister, Ann (Tim) Lee of Franklin, NC; and one grandson, Braycen Whitmire.

Funeral Services will be at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Burrell and Rev. Marty Kilby officiating. Burial will follow at Taylors Chapel Cemetery on Taylors Chapel Road. Those in attendance are asked to please adhere to the public health and social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19.

The body is at Hunter Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family is at the home on Persimmon Road.
